I am Sam, I am a fashion student at DMU.  I want to be a fashion designer because I want to create art not just to display in the museum, I want to create a art people can wear everywhere and enjoy time after time. I want to see my work in the streets, throughout the world as people enjoy my fashion design every day.

I am really interested in creating high end, high street collections for both men and women.  My designs would be formal and elegant for everyday wear.  My ambition is create collections that are exquisite, stylish and eco-friendly.

Studying at DMU, I aim to improve my fashion design skills and to make a collection that will get to London Fashion Week.  After university, I plan to get experience working in a luxury fashion house to gain experience of the business so that eventually I can create my own fashion brand that could be recognised globally.


Eco-Friendly Fashion Example

I have added my personal introduction in to the website Wix in the about page and delete the default writing and pasted my own introduction which I have written in blogger.



I then switch to mobile display on Wix and readjusted the placement of the title and the picture in the middle and also make the title and a picture more spacious to make the page more organised and clear to read.

Reflection for Art Portfolio two

Overall in Art Portfolio Two, I learned different methods of research such as secondary and primary research, it helped me to get inspiration and develop ideas to improve the outcomes. Also, it helped me have a better understanding of the fashion market and the ideal customer needs. I think the secondary and primary research skills and techniques have really helped me this term to improve my overall portfolio quality. For example, walking around the campus or the local area allowed me to get inspiration and develop ideas by looking at shapes, colour, and the natural environment around me. Also, I visited the fabric shop in person which allowed me to have a better understanding of how different fabrics work and what qualities they have.  In this term, whilst doing secondary research for fashion trends and artist research, I took more care in learning new information which helped me to develop my work. Photoshop Process of my Portfolio

 I began to create my portfolio, so I had my final designs and I knew how I wanted my Space Rangers collection to look.   I began by opening Photoshop and creating a blank A3 sized canvas with 300 resolution.  I did this just be clicking on File - New - Print  and then A3.   I then wanted to add my background which was a Space image I got from unsplash.  So I clicked on File - Open and then I chose the jpg image I had on my desktop.  I then clicked on Image - Image Rotation and 90 degrees counter clockwise as I needed the image to be portraits and I wanted the composition of the planets to compliment my design.  I then clicked on Select All, Then copy and then I clicked back onto my blank canvas and clicked on past. I used the move tool and clicked onto the transform controls and dragged the background over the canvas to create my portfolio backdrop. I then added the logo which we copied and pasted from my previous portfolio for consistency.  I then added the title of my collection
