Modified version

In this homage project I had pick a painting called bags and friends, from the artist Greg ‘CRAOLA’ Simkins, because this painting give me a mystery and dreamy vibe specially the blue Smoke in the background, it look like a portal to a other dimension also the rabbit looks like a adventurer, that exploring a new dimension that having some sci-fi animals it make me think of Alice the wonderland.

In my modify version, I had added a khaki adventure hat on the rabbit and changed the outfit from white to military green to make the rabbit looks more like a adventurer, than I had replaced the skeleton head clock to a compass to give more adventure vibe, lastly I had changed the parrot head to a Cheshire cat, to create a feeling that the Cheshire cat are popping out from the portal.


Making process

Firstly, I masked the vest of the rabbit and changed the hue of the colour from white to green. I then remove the background of the explorer hat and compass to place it on top of the rabbit. I also added a little bit of shadow to make the adjustment more natural. Finally I added an extra rabbit and edited the head of the Cheshire cat onto the parrot to emphasize the theme of Alice in wonderland. I also changed the colour of the parrot body to pink to match the Cheshire cat.

Reflection for Art Portfolio two

Overall in Art Portfolio Two, I learned different methods of research such as secondary and primary research, it helped me to get inspiration and develop ideas to improve the outcomes. Also, it helped me have a better understanding of the fashion market and the ideal customer needs. I think the secondary and primary research skills and techniques have really helped me this term to improve my overall portfolio quality. For example, walking around the campus or the local area allowed me to get inspiration and develop ideas by looking at shapes, colour, and the natural environment around me. Also, I visited the fabric shop in person which allowed me to have a better understanding of how different fabrics work and what qualities they have.  In this term, whilst doing secondary research for fashion trends and artist research, I took more care in learning new information which helped me to develop my work. Photoshop Process of my Portfolio

 I began to create my portfolio, so I had my final designs and I knew how I wanted my Space Rangers collection to look.   I began by opening Photoshop and creating a blank A3 sized canvas with 300 resolution.  I did this just be clicking on File - New - Print  and then A3.   I then wanted to add my background which was a Space image I got from unsplash.  So I clicked on File - Open and then I chose the jpg image I had on my desktop.  I then clicked on Image - Image Rotation and 90 degrees counter clockwise as I needed the image to be portraits and I wanted the composition of the planets to compliment my design.  I then clicked on Select All, Then copy and then I clicked back onto my blank canvas and clicked on past. I used the move tool and clicked onto the transform controls and dragged the background over the canvas to create my portfolio backdrop. I then added the logo which we copied and pasted from my previous portfolio for consistency.  I then added the title of my collection
