Draping development workshop

In the dripping workshop tutorial, I had learned about how to measure the mannequin by pinning the elastic strap around three section, bust line, waistline and hips it can guide me when I measuring and pinning the fabric on the mannequin, also I had learned about a fabric called Calico, it is a 100 percent cotton fabric that is unbleached and undyed it is a half processed cotton, normally Calico is a cheaper price fabric so that it is good to use to do fibre testing and creating garment demo, finally before start creating the garments I had learned some fashion key words, for example CF = center front, CB = center back and SS = side seams those short forms is often appearing on those garment making instruction.

In the draping workshop tutorial, I had choose to learn and practice how to make the Corset with Georgian shape, firstly I had followed the instruction and measure and cut out six different sizes of fabric, then start pinning the fabric on the mannequin with pear hard pins, when I pinning the fabric I had learned that I need to leave gap on the edges when I pinning so that I can connect those fabric together, also when I pinning the fabric I need to follow the body shape and press the fabric to create a tight fitted shape, lastly after I complete pinning the garment I had cut out those extra fabric for example the connecting edges of the fabric, then I had fold edges of the fabric to create a hemmed look to make the garment looks more complete.
