Capped sleeve cropped top final

Image
On the final cropped top I created a pattern which I measured out for the sized of an average size 10 which was the size of the mannequin.  The sizes were:  36" bust 14" length of top I added 12 hem/seam allowance and cut out the pattern using pattern cutting paper. We pinned the pattern paper first and then cut out the material.  Then we pinned the hems ready to sew on the sewing machine which was a little more challenging with the sequinned material.  I then made sure the back and front lined up correctly and then I needed to sew the seams so I did this inside out so that the seam would not show on the finished piece.  I pinned the seam and left the arm holes and matched up the length on each side.  I completed all of the hems and seams and on this design I had two pieces for the back as I am going to add buttons to bring these together.  I completed all the final seams and made sure that everything was accurate and ready for the model or mannequin for final showcase of th

Art portfolio ideal customer mock

Image
In the ideal customer mock up, I had look at number of space related background and trying out different fonts and colour, than I tried out different lay out for the ideal customer page with a imagine target customer image. Overall, I really like the purple space background with two planets it add a bit of sparkle, also I think the lights purple colour words compliment with the background really well. However I may consider to change the fonts to a more futuristic style, and also I will like to remove the background of the ideal customer image.

Final fashion illustration design

These are my final designs which have been developed over the term.  I have chosen my colour palette which is silver; transparent, dark purple which represent the colours of space. This design includes a silver cropped top with oversized flared sleeves which are three quarters PVC and a quarter silver breathable linen as this is a summer collection. The mini shorts are a deep purple vinyl  and these are matched with knee length, high-heeled boots. This outfit includes a cropped three quarter length flared sleeve with rounded neck and PVC cut out strip to reveal the shoulders.  The mini purple vinyl shorts are complimented by the tightfitting cape around the waist. The flat comfortable silver shin length space boots set of this outfit for everyday summer wear.  This is a high-collared sleeveless, flared, long-length top in silver reflective linen.  This is combined  with tight fitting patterned constellation leggings in deep blue and gold highlights. Matched with shin length flat silver

Miniskirt making final

Image
In the miniskirt-making mock-up plan, I measured the mannequin's waistline of (27 inches) and the hip line of (36.5 inches) therefore the width of the miniskirt was the following equation:1 + 1/2 = 40.5 inches and the length was 14.5.  I needed to leave 0.5 x 2 for the hem of the width so that it would come to ( 40.5 + 1 )= 41.5 for the overall width and the length will leave 1 inch for the seam and 1.5 inches for the elastic and also 0.5 x2 for the hem so that the overall length will be (14.5 + 1 + 1.5 +0.5 x 2) = 18 inches. These process here was the same as the mock up.  The only difference was the waistband which was originally 2" and I reduced this to 1.5" and I made the skirt very slightly longer as my first skirt I thought was a little too short.  On the final design I improved the sewing quality by increasing the density on the sewing machine which very much improved the quality of the sewing.
